Is anyone skilled at beauty spells? Particularly one that would change my hair colour from brown to blond? I would like to look as authentic in my costume as possible, and I do not think there were many brown-haired Scandinavians.

I woke up in a very good mood this morning. Usually I only wake up content, but I woke up happy today. Almost giddy. It's strange. Not that I consider it a bad thing, of course.

It would have been nice if my father had taken me camping when I was a child. Then maybe, just maybe I wouldn't feel like a fish out of water.
A change of clothes would be nice. A quill and some parchment, too.

The ship is teeming with Weasleys now. Not that I have a problem with Weasleys, but I never realised that there were so many of them... Like rabbits, that family is. I'm glad the Nott family is not that prolific. I like being the only one around here.

I've completed another book (a rather short one), after two weeks of doing nothing else, and now there is nothing I would like more than to go ice skating. Shame it's not cold enough yet. Or is it?

I truly love it when I read one book, and it gives me a strong and insatiable urge to read another.
First, I highly recommend that everyone read "The Gargoyle" by Andrew Davidson.
Second, as soon as I get the chance, I plan to read "The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri. I only hope that I can find it in the library.

I was watching a documentary on "feral children" last night, about young children abandoned or discarded by their parents, and forced to live either on their own or under the care of animals in the wild. It was fascinating.
It makes me wonder if humans behave humanly because it is in our DNA, or because of how we are raised. But I doubt there will ever be a concrete answer in the Nature vs Nurture debate.
